I thought that as well, it turns out that my iPhone typing is near as makes no difference as quick as my normal keyboard typing - and that isn't slow
I've not had the 3GS for all that long and it does everything I want and more - I definitely won't be upgrading yet, I'm going to wait for the one after the new one (by which time my contract will be up, this one will be abit more worn, and I'll be itching to move to the newest and bestest again
).
