It was only in their best interests to do so when Sky offered it at a fair price. If VM were desperate to get Sky back, they would have caved a lot earlier.

Sky was hit hard with the advertising revenue loss as a result of losing the Virgin customer base, not the other way round.

Lets not try and go off topic though, this is all in the past.
