Re: D-Link Cable Routers

I have the DIR-655 which I only use wired, I got it to replace my old £20 D-Link which ran for years without a glitch, only upgraded because it couldn't handle the full 50Mb.
The D-Link firmware is fast, feature rich and rock solid.

All the models you have listed are future proof with Gb switches throughout and upgradeable antenna's, although I am more than pleased with the 655 if I was buying today I would probably go for the 855 as saabmania suggests, your experience with the router will soon have you forgetting the initial cost.

I won't mention the POS Netgear I was forced to buy from VM when I upgraded to 50Mb as it's still a sore point with me.
