I would rather have any other song reach the Christmas Number One than this total Christmas takeover that we have had to put up for the last few years because of this programme.

Before this crap format was envisaged singers and bands actually used to vie for the Christmas number one.

Now none of the big hitters bother because they do not want to face being pipped to the top slot by a marketing ploy.

Now because of this show everyone just assumes that the winner must get to be the Christmas Number One by default.
