I set my SSID to not broadcast as I have to use WEP encryption (my primary, older; laptop only supports WEP) so not broadcasting the SSID in an area where there are 10+ networks is just an extra layer of security. And yes the admin password of the router is some God awful combination of letters and numbers so it's as secure as I can make it without MAC filtering and I haven't been bothered to get that sorted out yet.
