Re: [Update] The Royal Mail strike thread

The next time a postman starts to whinge or wants to strike i'm going to smack him around the head with a large bat.

Twice now they have decided to dump parcels on my doorstep, ring the doorbell and run off. Now I can appreciate that they are too lazy to wait the 30 or so seconds for me to come to the door, or want to finish their round as quick as possible so they can go home. Its nice for them, but not so nice for me who sometimes has to venture outside and then has to go through a lengthy battle to get replacements sent out (IF it is insured), and not so nice for the people whose Christmas presents now belong to a passing thief.

I could complain of course, but then all my mail (well, all except the junk mail) would then be redirected to the large bin adjacent to the sorting office.

Please, if you are a postman reading this and really don't want to do your job properly, please move aside and let someone through who does want to do it.
