Don't you get income-based JSA? You would still get Housing and Council Tax Benefit.

They obviously fled Somalia, under fire, just managing to cross over the border into ............. Britain?
This is an island and as such, the place where people were before was safe. It's not as if the airport in the capital was under attack. There are usually safe areas even in places like Somalia, Iraq, and Afghanistan.
