A calming cup of coffee later and a visit to the Sky website suggests to me that Sky wont be any cheaper and I want to keep the Broadband with VM anyway.

So - why the exorbitant charge - what's involved technically?

Anyone managed to have it waived by threatening to leave ?

Any other ideas welcomed.

If you are a VIP customer, what you have been told is simply WRONG.

To swap one of your existing V boxes for a V+ will be £35 one-off install charge and then an extra £10 per month over what you are currently paying.

Standard VIP is now £89.50 per month. With your additional V box, you should be paying £94.50 and when you swap this for a V+, you should pay £104.50 per month.

It is true for those not on VIP (or XLPlus) that the installation charge for a second V+ is £150.
