But as is so often in cases such as this, there is so litle independaent information, it is impossible to know whether he was caught fairly, or indeed squarely.
Going by Saudi Arabia's track record, there should be enough doubt in people's minds as to whether this person really did get a fair trial. My own suspicions are that he was tried on the basis of homosexual acts, rather than the harm he has, or may have, caused children. Hence the severity of his punishment; especially as these were boys. I shudder to think what the punishment might have been, if they had been
only girls. I do believe, although I may have succumbed to popular misconceptions, that it is often that the girl is blamed for being raped, rather than the perpetrator.
