Regrettably this forum is best for cable issues, and even then there's a couple of posters who haven't a clue what they are talking about but will happily feed you absolute nonsense as fact.
I suggest you go to the forum on
http://www.thinkbroadband.com ADSL, which is how your service is delivered, is what these guys do really. Check it out, either the Virgin ADSL or the General Broadband Chatter sections of the forum both will be helpful.
