I got up to him late last night, & after dying many, many times I dropped the difficulty to "Easy" & managed to kill him the standard way.
This morning, I re-loaded from before I dropped the difficulty, & killed him first time using the "ledge method" in the video.
OK, it's a bit cheeky, but he annoyed me. Think i will go through it again on 'crushing' but not looking forward to the boss already.

I also played on hard , took me forever to kill the boss , nearly threw my controller through the window at one point i was that frustrated , would have dropped the difficulty if i'd known you could ... doh
