Nope, you're wrong on that point. Debit cards are NOT covered under Section 75 of the Consumer Credit Act. The Act applies only to credit cards, and then only to purchases of more than £100.

IF you have a Visa card whether credit or debit, you're in luck because Visa's own policy is to extend this protection to debit cards and to credit cards where the spend was under £100. But this is one of the benefits of being a Visa customer, it is not a legal right.
