The V+ removes the 'extend recordings' padding where necessary. If you have two recordings planned for 9-10pm and another for 10-11pm then the padding is not applied.

What I find happens, is that if I set two recordings for 9pm-10pm and the timing of one of those changes(earlier/later, shorter/longer), then when checking to see if the amended timing would cause a clash it still appears to have the original 9-10pm in it's list to check against. This means that the V+ thinks that there are two recordings set for 9-10pm and another set for example 9-10.05pm and so signals a clash where there really isn't one. It thinks of the amended timing as a new programme entry and leaves the original entry, in the list, but hidden.
