Just out of interest, does the engineer insist on connecting the VM-supplied wireless router? I ask as I have my 20-to-50Mb upgrade mid-october, and I do not intend to use the router supplied by VM - in fact, I don't even want it connected to my kit -even temporarily.
My existing set-up is exactly what I want, is more than capable of handling 50Mb (it's a gigabit ethernet wired set-up) and contains no wireless component (don't need one) that could pose a security risk (I have student neighbours who have tried to hack into wireless networks of mine in the past to freeload off my broadband).
