I am from Ireland and booked 2 rooms in Paris in July. Same story as everyone else. Arrived at the hotel to be told that we had no accommodation, it had been cancelled a few weeks before. No notification from Roomsnet. Tried to contact them to no avail. Eventually got an email back with a variety of excuses saying I would be refunded in 5 to 7 days and to scan in receipts from hotel if I had to pay more to stay there. This has not yet happened. Roomsnet has been featured on an Irish phone-in radio show, hundreds of Irish people have been scammed and some have lost huge amounts of money. I contacted Visa and they have refunded me the original booking amount already. I do not expect to receive the extra 210 Euro I had to pay from Roomsnet.
