So i am using a wireless router to download big files and when i get a good speed it just cuts the net off and my connection loses connection. So i tryed the main Ethernet lead coming straight from the router to my mothers laptop and it works fine . So i am thinking there could be something wrong with the router?

I have a Belkin Wireless Cable G Router 54Mbps + 4 Port 10/100 Switch, a basic router and it used to handle my 2Mb (250kbs) easily but lately its been losing connection when i get a good speed and also since i got upgraded to 10Mb it just losses connection even more any ideas?
