Is it on his lap etc? I've seen people, put a cushion underneath a laptop, and blocked the exhaust with a cushion..

What is he doing, when it shuts down, i.e gaming or just browsing the net etc
The fan was noisy when it first started shutting down, I blew the vents out with compressed air and now the fan is very quiet.
When he goes on youtube or starts gaming the GPU temp goes up, the F1 and Hard Drive stay about 45c.
I've put it on a table and pointed a desk fan at the comp and the GPU temp goes down but once you do anything on the net it goes back up.
