I can't see how - there is no hardware left in the PS3 to run PS2 games
They moved from full hardware support in the first PS3s in the US to part hardware/part software support for the first PS3s in the UK (2nd Gen) and then completely removed it

I've got the 40Gb 3rd Generation one and it definately doesn't do PS2 games
