What (as an examle) are the killers of young James Bulger up to now? After virtually butchering him they received, eventually, 15 years, of which they served 8. They were given new id's and probably lead a happy life now, oh, of course, they just hacked a toddler to pieces. If they had stolen a couple of mill they'd still be banged up, regarded as dangerous criminals.
Jeeze our justice system is a damned joke, all Huntley has to do is say "oh, sorry about that" and he'll be out as well.
What use is there in keeping Biggs inside, answer, Mr.Straw means business, YEAH !!

I think his crime was far more Unfortunate for Jack Mills than Ronnie Biggs who actually had a pretty decent life as a result of the robbery. He took off with some of the money and lived South America. He hasn't had to serve most of his sentence as a result of coming back so late into his life.
So may I ask what is Unfortunate about his case? That he had to serve anytime at all? He should have been given a clean slate because all he did was "Steal some money"? (He also absconded from Jail, also a crime).
Why do people feel the need to make him into some sort of folk hero, his crime was not minor, it was serious! He boasted about it, lived a good life because of it, and refused to show remorse for it. So please don't try to push the Ronnie Biggs hero rubbish.
Still he is out now,There is probably no need to keep him in jail, I hope his family get some decent time with him. Being compassionate is an important part of our country and culture and it's sad that the general public mood if often against these kinds of acts. Criminals are usual '****' unless they have a a campaign akin to the one mounted for Biggs.
