I remember reading a newspaper article over 30 years ago just before Thatcher got elected. It was about how we should encourage more females into politics and the great positive effects this would have in debating chambers. The article alluded to the fairer sex being more willing to listen and less aggressive so parliament would become less gladatorial.

Hmmmm

Nice theory but it hasn't worked out in practice. The females who have made it to parliament tend to be every bit as antagonistic as the males. They are also every bit as capable as backstabbing, scheming, bitching and talking *******s as any male MP.
