You have to bear in mind that the HD channels are not direct replicas of the SD channels. Is BBC HD a version of BBC One, Two, Three or Four? None of the above. It is (currently) selected transmissions of BBC programming.
Also, the 101 .. 105 SD channels are regional but the HD variants are national (may not apply to Five, I'm not sure). It will be different for the likes of MTV, Living, Nat. Geo., History, Discovery etc. They will be HD equivalents of the SD channels.
{I hope all of that was correct. I don't have FreeView, FreeSat or Sky to compare with. I don't even have HD yet! Until I can no longer get valves for it, I'm stickin' with my Bush 405 line B&W set.
