TBH i do not really watch many series american or british,and of course any view is a subjective one when it comes to programming, the last good one i watched was judge john deed a few years back! Also julia bradburys series the wainwright walks is superb with breathtaking scenery currently on bbc 4.

I much prefer the knowledge based channels where there is indeed a good mix of british and american programmes to be had, looking forward to nat geographic HD, so i would agree with you nationalism should not come into it after all a good programme is a good programme regardless of nationality.

The one exception to that was the american version of "fawlty towers" which was so pc it made your eyes water,and the comedy had been completely written out of it you may have seen it,if not i doubt it will ever re-surface on uk tv again.LOL
