I'm a Ubuntu user but I like to try out other distros sometimes, usually from LiveCD.
Puppy has a 'toram' option. Using this method it runs very fast.
Some other distros too have the toram option.

I have a spare hard drive from another PC so maybe I'll install Puppy on it later.
