I entered ifconfig.
Like you said, it shows eth0 and Lo.
(I can't figure out how to copy and paste from this Konsole!)
Maybe I was doing something wrong the first time round.
Puppy linux is easy to download (you can use torrents), then burn it to CD-R/RW, then boot from CD, then enter F2 and
puppy toram to run it from RAM.
It's very fast!
