You are making him out to be some sort of criminal master mind, his cut of the robbery was 40k, that shows how significant his role was and when he was tracked down to Australia he was found to be working as a gardner IIRC
Jack Straw talks about the lack of respect Biggs showed our justice system, well what about the lack of respect you show it Jacky boy, your quite happy to keep a sick old man locked up when even Nazi war criminals were let out on compasionate grounds and release killers after 24 months.

I would imagine a pension is the last thing on his mind and in terms of amenities he'd actually be saving the taxpayer money if he was released, considering it's costing over 2k a day keeping him locked up
