AH! Well you were right thanks for suggesting it I was about to get a new router.
I have reverted back to windows firewall as Mcaffee wont let upnp work at all even when I open the ports in firewall settings so it has benn switched off.
I am now watching video on ps3 that is stored on an external hard drive on a desktop upstairs. So it really is working am very happy and gratefull THANK YOU ALL!!!!!
