Good luck... Win98 is an EXCELLENT os (I have Win98se)
Thank you Dude

I had a similar problem of connecting my dad's ancient computer Win98 to a 10meg NTL system via NTL250 modem. It was driving me nuts. The set up had worked superb for a couple of years - then suddenly, no internet. Dad (he is 92 next birthday!!) was peeved.

Virgin "help" was no help at all simply telling me "we are not trained to advise on Win98". They did offer an 09 premium rate phone line for some help. NO way.

Anyway, I followed your advice and "flushed" the system - and it all worked again. WHY it suddenly became a mess/ unconnected I suppose I will never know.

Thanks Snod
