I was NOT told of the change to the price, for information I was told by two people at the customer service it would cost more, and told by the Virgin Media Helpsite by email that you do not have to upgrade there for the price will stay the same and NOT go up.
Is it being suggested in the earlier post that all VM customer service people are dipsticks, it was not like this when it was telewest. virgin is better at twisting the facts.

You will get the 2Mb to 10Mb upgrade automatically and you will not have the option of staying on 2Mb as by the end of October all 2Mb customers will have been upgraded.
You are getting a 5 fold increase in speed just for being a customer.
The upgrade is free regardless of the £2 increase for the platform you are on.
The upgrade has to be done in stages so as not to affect the stability of the network, if they just flicked a switch and it all fell over you would not be best pleased.
