I am sorry that you feel the marketing literature is misleading. I have had a look at it and i understand where you are coming from. I have sent an email over to our marketing team giving them the feedback on it.
Virgin Media understands that not all customers wish to go ahead with this change and want to go back on to their 2mb connection for £18, so if you wish you can go back on your 2mb service and a £2 credit will be applied to your account.

Now I have received my latest bill and guess what I have been charged the extra £2 even thou I did not ask for it or register.
Now just to let you all know that after speaking to the customer service today it seems we are all going to be upgraded to the 10mb even thou we were not told and the extra £2 will be added on and you will not know until you get the bill.
So if you don't want the upgrade it seems you MUST let VM know.

The £2 is a price change that everyone will get whether they want it or not - for which everyone should have a letter at the end of March advising them of such
The speed change is a seperate program - but again that everyone on BB M will eventually get by October, whether you register or not. This is why you get a seperate letter
The reason the speed increase letter doesn't mention any extra cost is by the time they have been sent out the price change will have already gone through. So the speed increase DOESN'T cost anymore than the price you will already be paying!
