I ALSO lost subscribed access to On Demand in the past few days.

VM are no doubt legally covered in all this, although there ARE misleadng chunks of text on their website suggesting On Demand IS included on M & L subscriptions - only when you dig deeper does it become clear that whilst you can "access" it, you can't actually use it without an additional extra subscription. Sneaky.

Regardless, suspiciously HIGH numbers of people seem to have "accidentally" been receiving TV Choice On Demand as part of their L tv package.

Indeed, VM's sales team referenced it to me as part of my package when i became a subscriber in January this year - Catch Up TV AND most of TV Choice On Demand are included free on the L subscription, but music on demand and movies are pay-per-view only, they told me.

(For avoidance of doubt, even the installation engineer echoed this later, when giving me a tour of my newly installed V+ box).

I suspect the so-called "accidental" access was some sneaky short term ploy by this disreputable firm to boost "On Demand" usage figures in order to give them media boasting rights in the war for digital viewers & to attract advertisers/sponsors.

What puzzles me even further is that, when exploring TV Choice On Demand content back in January (as any new customer would) I noted that SOME content at that time was only available pay per view (98p per tv episode).

This makes me believe VM are being disingenuous and underhand - unless On Demand customers were also expected to pay extra again to view these tv shows ON TOP of paying the extra £7 subscription?

I tried 3 times to phone and complain about this to VM, but was "accidentally disconnected" by customer service each time. I give up.

All in all, my VM experience from the day I first opted to subscribe 5 months ago has been a vile experience. I anxiously await my contract expiring so I can expunge this sorry, lying and deceitful excuse for a company out of my life.
