how do I resolve this please?

as far as i know you cant

virgin deny the problem and blame bluesquare for blocking virgin ip's even though i explained a block would be permanent not random through the day
if you do a trace route youll see that after the tele-ic-1 switch the next step is a static.virginmedia ip and look at how high the time is ... mine will be about 30ms by the time it goes through the hops and jump to 200-300ms at that 1 point
all i know and my knowledge is very very limited is that its so busy it cant handle all traffic so it drops what it decides are unimportant data but if your using online games or anything that needs acknowledgment your screwed

it drops packets so you have to start again and again and if the connection drops transfering data the data becomes corrupt
watch your bandwidth aswell because if you pay youll find your using more and could get charged for extra bandwidth you dont think you used
