Well fair enough I do only have anecdotal evidence to support it, I live around my own age group though which would be too young to be around during the Liverpool years and were around during the United treble win. My year at school contained an enoumous amount of United supporters, I mean they formed a easy majority. Followed by West Ham supports and Spurs supporters (many Spurs supporters miffed that their friends were suddenly 'United supporters') and a few Arsenal fans.

Arsenal and Chelsea have never had a massive peroid of dominance though so I imagine there are less glory hunters (although there are still a lot, see my story about how difficult it became to get tickets for Highbury after the first double win!).

This is not a negative reflection on United or their geniune fans though.
