So because the police could not point to the actual guilty person they appear to have been leniently treated.What we need in cases like this is to be able to have a blanket charge so that people can't avoid prosecution by pointing the finger at others who were in the same vicinity.

Haven't they got indetermined sentences, with a minimum of 5 years etc. With a bit of luck they'll turn into Hindley's and never see freedom again. Won't hold my breath though...
