The key is stored in the registry, so unlikely, most BIOSs have a boot menu hot key which would allow you to boot from the old drive but it might not be that straight forward as Windows looks to the boot.ini file which would have the old details on. You would need to boot from the old drive and use a key viewer (there are plenty about)
