I seem to be paying £5 per month above the advertised tarrif already
what is the current tarrif for a 2MB connection ?
ie should I ask for an immediate downgrade to the 2Mb tarrif in order that I can get a 'free' upgrade to the 10Mb tarif at a lower overall cost
I don't use the BB all that much - the TMS limits/differences would make no real difference to me - what I want is a fair and low cost
I am really confused by this

As has been explained many many many times before. The list price that shows on EVERYONEs' bill for BB L is £25. This is the price before any discounts you have are applied. The £20 price ONLY applies to people with STANDALONE BB L which has (for some unknown reason) £5 of discounts.
If you are unhappy with your current price, post your Advance Charges from your bill here and someone will be along to advise if you are on a good deal or can get better.
Had you stuck to BB M 2Mb, your list price would now be £20 and you would be getting an upgrade in speed to 10Mb soon. The 10Mb BB M product is not the same product as the current 10Mb BB L which has a list price before discounts of £25.
