They are just DNS records atm. (and shouldn't there be 2 more?).
They are DNS records because the units are live on the network. DNS doesn't go in for interfaces on boxes until the boxes are live.

Why should there be 2 more? Does Southampton need 4 BSRs to replace its' 7 VXRs?

EDIT: BTW the lbacks are either cable or virtual interfaces, they'll be default gateways for the customers in those subnets, there's an lback-10 on each as well.
