As I understand it, the only people who have died so far have been in Mexico. There are several possible cases outside mexico (including Scotland), but no one has died. There is also (according to Channel 4 news) some evidence to suggest that this flu strain is not as dangerous as the one in 1918.
I am not saying there isn't a possible Flu pandemic, but do I believe it is any more serious than, say, AIDS (which despite being seemingly ignored by the media is still a very dangerous disease)? No, I do not.
