We tend to treat flu with a bit of contempt nowerdays. But, in 1918, when the world population was 1.8 billion, an influenza epidemic
incapacitated 1 billion and
killed 20 million people, all within the space of 8 weeks. Scientists have been working on that virus for years, but there is still, no cure. Most of the people who died were in their thirties. So with that in mind, stocking up may not be a bad idea.
