You youngsters don't know you're born. I started 'online' back in about 1989 on BBS with my mate and his Apple Mac. Then I was able to use university computers until about 94 when I got a 28,8 modem and used compuserve. In those days there was no such thing as a lo-call number for ISPs, you had to pay full whack for a local or national number. So your ISP access number was always your 'best friend' on your BT friends and family account.
