Broadbandings do you work for virgin media ? because you know all the stuff on cable broadband than anyone elses here.
1) It's a fault. Some peeps have found it's the Netgear router that's included and once that's taken out of the loop the problem goes away, others have had intermittent signal issues, usually upstream.
2) No I don't, and no I don't - if you check the VM newsgroups I post queries for tech support and feedback in the same manner everyone else does.
