Hi BenMcr yes it is in my phonebook i was able to do it before my phone line went dead last week since the repair i am not able to do this now. Cable reckon i should never of been able to do it. Very confused.

Hi dave dph erm not sure what you mean with alternating tone, will check phone see what happens they are BT freelance XD5500. It was great till phone line went barmy.They say they had to put a new card in exchange due to power surge since this things have gone barmy. And i don't want to have to buy new phones. I can't grasp why it was fine before all this happened. And cable are not very helpful arghhhhh
