Re: How good are old films in HD (Blu Ray)

it will all depend on what the film company does to make it blue ray

Disney have ( are redoing ) redone some of thier old films by re scanning and enhancing them they look fantastic

however some have just used the original dvd scans and just software up scaled to blue ray these may look a little better than the dvd version but not much

so far most stuff i have seen looks better on blu ray but some dvds look better on my dvd player than they do being upscaled by the blu ray player
