All BT points in the house can have BB splitters attached to them it doesn't have to be the main box as it makes no difference apart from you might have a better connection on the main box but very minimal (this is due to contention on the wire i.e the longer the wire the weaker the signal) that you wont even notice the difference unless your a geek lol
