A friend of mine got hit on the head by a crowd surfer at Reading festival once; she was insisting she was ok - walked around for a bit, but she was clearly very dazed. So much so that I managed to make her walk to the st john's ambulance bit where she was duly whisked off in an ambulance!

I can't remember what they said was wrong with her, but they let her go later that evening... Natasha Richardson's death should instill in all of us that no matter how minor you think an injury is (I once got severely told off for not going to A&E when I'd scolded myself) - always get checked over by a medical professional.

Very sad.
