I hate to ask, but have you actually tried rebooting the modem and/or routers? Just unplug from mains power for 30 seconds.

My internet also went off around 1am, in the middle of a skype call to my gf! But a power cycle of the modem and router brought it straight back (good job or technical support would have been getting an irritated call

).
