Not tried mine on 1080i yet, after googling it seems p is a better way of transferring the pictures to screen so think i will stay with p.
I decided against 1080p for my new tv firstly as the equivalent made the tv 50% dearer
Secondly i only have a dvd player and V+ on it so no 1080p output.
Thirdly its 32" at about 10-15ft away so not sure 1080p would increase my hd experience that much.
