I'm aware of what new Labour and old Conservatives did to special needs education..and I agree entirely that the end result is less than happy plus that autistic children do need specialised training.Which is why I think this particular story should have been about the iniquities of the facilities available for such children not a tale that bashes individual schools/teachers without adequate training.
