That new free offering of calls to 0845 and 0870 numbers carries a fair usage policy! After reading the T&C's it says up to 1,000 minutes per month or 150 per day,so if you are thinking of taking advantage of this for calling card use or internet use, forget it!

BT are also offering line rental of Â£10.27 per month..................For new customers only.

I've also been told that Anonymous caller rejection is to go up to Â£5 per month from the current price of Â£4 per month, are they really serious! Even Â£4 per month is expensive, before I thought it said Â£4 per quarter but its not,its Â£4 per month!

Heres how it competes:

BT: Â£4 per month
TalkTalk: Â£3.86 per month
Virgin phone: Â£2 per month

Also have you seen the difference in price? I was looking at comparisons the other day and Virgin's Evening and Weekend package turned out to be cheaper than TalkTalk's Evening and weekend plan!

However, the cheapest out of all 3 for general calling would be BT.
