I wasn't being negative, and have to point out that Virgin Media are not the leading provider, due in no small part to their coverage, and are actually losing market share in their cabled areas.

I was just pointing out that VM isn't going to be a 'sinking ship' any time soon though I do fully expect it to be acquired within the next 3 years, only reason it hasn't been already is credit issues. The company has a nice wodge of income tax losses to be taken advantage of by a potential suitor and is a good value purchase even factoring in assumed debt.

On the other side of the coin be good to see this 'far better technology and network' more in evidence rather than doing 'BT + a bit'. And no I don't consider 50Mbit with less upload than ADSL2+ as evidence, especially as 40/15 is a year or so away from the inferior network
