I've been asked to lock the servers so that they're only available to Virgin Media staff. This is to keep them 100% accurate during the customer installation tests.

Sorry for the inconvenience caused.

Kind regards,

Any chance of these being replaced by tests at each hubsite on the switches with the CMTSes?

Would only be a *nix or even Windows box in each hubsite and wouldn't cost that much in the grand scheme and might save a few support calls in the longer run.

Failing that even bosh a cluster into Winnersh or Knowsley dedicated to speed testing.

Saves hassle with dodgy speed test results, support costs, improves customer satisfaction, etc, could even link it up with http://www.broadbandreports.com and their speedtest network and get a nice e-peen enlarging ranking on their test board
